MODEL 1 provides 20 amps of charging at 48 volts, supports up to 1,200 watts of solar panels, and delivers up to 5,000 watts of AC inverter power (10,000 watts peak) with a 48-volt battery bank.
To expand beyond 1200 watts of solar panels, you can:
• Request a larger custom controller to handle more or
• Add an additional solar board, giving you another 1,200 watts of capacity while still connecting to the same battery bank.
If your battery already has a good charge level by noon, and everything is wired properly, most people don't really need a shunt. You can get enough information from the Bluetooth app or the battery's built-in screen. The extra cost and wiring aren't worth it unless they want to find power leaks, rarely get their batteries fully charged, or need monitoring from afar. But, as an extra, we do have shunts available.
When you purchase batteries from us, we include all the necessary connection cables to convert to 48 volts, custom-cut to the exact length required to connect your solar board to the batteries. Inverter cables are provided with your inverter purchase. Please note that the solar board comes as shown, without battery or inverter cables.
